About Us

The Central Park West CSA currently sources its vegetables from Angel Family Farm. It is entirely run by volunteers from among the CSA membership.

About our Farmer:

  • Our vegetable farmers are Ana and Crisostomo Angel and their family from Angel Family Farm in the Black Dirt region, Goshen, NY. Their produce is pesticide-free. The farm also uses a composting system to fertilize its lands. If you’d like to learn more, visit their Facebook page or view this short video:

How would you describe your production practices? “I try to be as organic as possible. I’m not certified, but everything is organic. When I have a beetle problem, I ask Michelle to sell me something organic to control them. I buy organic seeds. The only thing missing is the certification.” (Ana Angel, from an interview with Grow NYC)

Become a member:

Members join the CSA by purchasing a Full Share or Half Share of vegetables. A full share typically feeds 3-4 people and a half share can feed 1-2 people.

The 2018 season runs from June 5th to October 30th.

In addition to subscribing to a Membership option, members are required to volunteer to help with distribution / cleanup. This allows the CSA to function and keeps costs to a minimum. The terms of membership are available here.

Pick up your produce:

Members pick up their share(s) in front of Book Culture (Columbus Avenues between W 81st and 82nd Sts) on Tuesdays between 4:30-7pm, with the exception of Thursday, September 13, and Thursday, September 20. Please note that if you arrive between 6:45-7:00pm, your produce might already be bagged. This is to ensure a speedy clean up. Produce not picked up by 7 PM is donated to West Side Campaign Against Hunger.

Receive CSA updates:

All members of the Central Park West CSA automatically receive updates once their Membership is processed. We keep these to a minimum and topics may include information on the week’s produce and other useful information. We also encourage you to visit this website regularly for recipes, tips and other CSA updates.
